Kaapi Konfusion

I put in three heaped spoons of kaapi podi
I press down the powder with the bottom of a tumbler
I put in the kodai on top of the podi
I pour in the amount of boiling water that my mum specifies
But somehow...

I keep messing up the filter coffee 'degaucktion'!!!

Is it the end of the world??

Update:

I am at cousins house now. Will be going home after a few days. Me and my cousin are going to spend some time together. As for the home cooked meals...well, that will just have to wait a bit.

But we did make an amazing cake and had some good home food as well!

day i cant forgett.....
Today i jus had probably de most awesome day ive had in years.....it was one where i did de silliest things ever....things u did as a kid...things dat u arent sup to be doin now...cos well we're all grown up! lol

The location?? well none other than the ever sooooo amazinngggg Besi beach in chennai, india. Its jus like the super hotspot and THE place to be for anyone living in chennai. the people???....well 2 of my closest friends...girish n anu...and 2 other damn goood friends...charu and nilesh...and this guy who i spoke to for the first time ever...even though he used to be in skool with me wen i was in chennai, Atri and his super hyper dog simba. LOL

It started off with me going to Barista's waiting for anu and girish to come...and i checked de counter out to see wat looked like de tastiest thing to eat. and well i had 7 people behind de counter sayin..."how can i help u mam" and well superly flattered with that treatment...i asked for a chocolate chip muffin. very sweetly he heats it up and brings it to my table...saying "here u go anjali,hope u like it" (yes they have a tendency to ask u for your name at all these coffee shops in chennai to make it more personal i guess). it smelled awesome...and i strated digging into it..and well i kept diggin...it seemed like i was trying to cut a stone with a fork bt i finally got around it and put the first piece in my mouth...and well DISGUSTING!! dat was de worst muffin ive ever had, girish arrived by den and we promptly made our way to "Planet Yumm" (i realllllyyy don kno who came up with dat name....makes me roll my eyes too, but its a nice place lol). we were then joined by anu and charu, to realise a while later dat atri was at the beach walking his dog...so we decided to go meet him. In the mean time nilesh comes on his bike...which is he like OH SOOO PROUD OF. lol

We started walking across de beach and de merry-go-round guy is screaming away...to attract absolutely anyone he can to get those 10 bucks out of....and seeing us well he seemed to be screaming louder...."waange waange". and well atri comes up with the amazing idea of actually going on them...and as if she was jus waiting for someone to say dat...charu jumped at the opp and she's like lets do it...hehe and before we knew me n anu joined in too. Mind u this is one of those hand turned merry-go rounds meant for kids under 12. so he made 4 of us (anu, charu, girish, me) sit on opposite sides to balance de weights LOL...hehe and de ride began. I have to admit it was loadssss of fun. hehe, and well half way thru it started POURINGGGG and de called it quits and started running for shelter. By the time we actually got there, we were drenched wet and it had stopped raining. So we decided to go back. and now anu gets de thought dat....well she wants to ride de horses on de merry-go round instead of the chairs. LOL and we all get on em again. And well this time atri and Simba joined us tooo...and atri very casually voiced his concerns abt him being scared dat simba mite puke on him, LOL. But as de thign started moving...hehe seemed like atri was de one having problems rather dan simba. hehehehe. At the end of it, the merry-go-round dude made 100 odd bucks out of us..offcourse being super polite, he said simba's ride was complimentary hehe.

And very weirdly...half way through the ride it started raining again..and we started running back for shelter and yes u guess rite...by de time we got there it had stopped raining. We den walked down to a road side joint called Frankie's...and well i decided not to eat any....but well that stuff was sooo good, i ended up nicking off anu and charu's share of it. hehehe. I don kno abt de hygiene (im still ok by de way) but i mean dat stuff tastes aweeesome. Anyways after we finished with dat, anu, charu and atri (and simba) made their way home, which left nilesh, girish and myself....The 3 of us made our way to Fruit shop...which is like this juice joint which is built in a house...pretty neat place..and u get aweeesome juices there. LOL. So we went there and ordered our drinks. We were all drenched wet and with the AC n fan runnin on fullblast....we were all getting goosebumps. So nilesh being THE MAN, gets up to go turn de fan off...and well he accidently switched de lites' of the area where the made the juices off, which made de manager guy come running to check up. Well no he din get blasted..hehe those guys are quite sweet hehe he jus turned de fan off and turned de lites back on again and left.

Once we finished de drinks, de question was how i was gona get home! Nilesh was gona drop girish off on his bike..and well i literally did not have a way back home. So nilesh comes up with the ignenous idea of going triples (which is illegal by de way, and we'd get fined a fortune for it). So we decide to go via de back roads and go triples as far as we can....rite through which nilesh jus cud not stop crying about how cold it was..hehe LOL and he nor cud he stop breaking at every turn, which made de rest o feel like we were gona fall off (it was funny for him suposedly). Neways we got to de main road...and left girish there...who had to well keep waling for a bit until nilesh dropped me and came back for him.

And well de last of it...wasnt all that interesting....jus had one amazinggg bike ride, which i havent had in yearssss. lol. Basically was this completely stupid but SUPERRRR AMAZING day. hehe. And well nilesh is jus hands down de funniest guy ive ever known. im still laughin thinkin abt the silly stuff he says and does. THAT was defn a day in madras im never gona forget. lol
